About Us

In the early '90's, a couple of frustrated musicians (aren't we all?) owned a company providing production, management and promotion services for themselves and a tight but diverse community of supremely talented independent bands, jazz artists and singer/songwriters in New York City. We had a great time, but we didn't make any money, so we got jobs in the industry.

At the beginning of the new millennium, we watched with everyone else as the internet landed on the record industry in much the same way that asteroid landed on the dinosaurs way back when, and we recognized that a serious leap in the evolution of our business was at hand. So, we decided to put our years of experience in publishing, management and promotion to work and create Deepfreeze Music.

At Deepfreeze, we work with a similar group of incredibly talented artists, handling the administration of their catalogs and teaching them how to navigate this "brave new world" in which we all now live.

But the most important thing we do is make the process of finding and licensing great music for your project easy and pain-free. Like we say on our home page, we've been on both sides of the coin, and we know the best thing for you and for our artists is to have a song from our catalog used in your production.
